Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in Tracy Crash on Interstate 580 Near Corral Hollow
TRACY, CA (June 10, 2022) – A crash seriously injured a motorcyclist on the Interstate 580 near Corral Hollow Road in Tracy.
According to an article published by the CBS Sacramento, the accident took place on Friday morning. Officers reported the wreck at around 5:30 a.m.
The incident began when an SUV was going east on the Interstate 580, just west of Corral Hollow Road, in Tracy. For an unknown reason, the car slammed into the center divide.
The California Highway Patrol said the SUV then roller over into the westbound lanes. In the process, the vehicle hit the motorcycle rider traveling west at the time.
Multiple Vehicles Collide
Both the SUV and motorcyclist then collided with a tractor-trailer. Both the rider and the driver of the SUV sustained major injuries as a result of the collision.
An air ambulance took the motorcyclist to a hospital for treatment. Paramedics rushed the other motorist for further aid.
The names of the wounded parties and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, CHP forced the westbound lanes of the Interstate 580 to shut down near Corral Hollow following the wreck.
The cause of the Tracy crash is still under investigation.
