Pedestrian Injured in Tracy Hit-and-Run on Highway 33 Near Durham Ferry
TRACY, CA (September 1, 2021) – A pedestrian was injured after a hit-and-run crash on Highway 33 near Durham Ferry Road in Tracy.
The California Highway Patrol first logged the incident late Wednesday night. According to their dispatch, officers reported the accident at around 10:42 p.m.
CHP said a vehicle struck the pedestrian for an unknown reason in Tracy. The driver hit the person on westbound Highway 33, just east of Durham Ferry Road.
Victim Hit by Vehicle
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near the Delta Charter Schools. They found the victim hurt as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then treated the patient for the unspecified injuries they sustained in the accident. Officials did not release the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the motorist did not stop to help the victim and fled the area. Officers forced the westbound side of Highway 33 near Durham Ferry to close following the incident.
The cause of the Tracy hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
