Traffic Accident Involving Pedestrian on Cathedral Oaks Road in Santa Barbara

Two-Vehicle Crash Involving Pedestrian at North San Marcos Road
SANTA BARBARA, Calif. (June 18, 2025) — A pedestrian was injured amid a two-vehicle car accident Wednesday morning on Cathedral Oaks Road at North San Marcos Road in Santa Barbara.
The traffic accident occurred around 8:11 a.m. on June 18th, according to the California Highway Patrol report. A pedestrian and the drivers of a blue Honda Fit and a white Honda Accord were involved in the collision.
CHP officials reported the airbags were deployed in one of the vehicles that had major front-end damage. The blue Honda had a broke rear axle from the collision. Also, a traffic signal light on the northwest corner of the intersection was damaged in the collision.
Paramedics responded and transported the injured pedestrian to a hospital, but there are no further details.
Investigators from the Santa Barbara Sheriff’s Office are working to determine fault for the accident on Cathedral Oaks Road.
