Train, Vehicle Crash at Avenue 112, Near Highway 43 in Corcoran

CORCORAN, Calif., (Sept. 25, 2026) — One person was seriously injured early Friday in a crash involving a vehicle and a train near Avenue 112 and Angiola Drive in Corcoran.

The California Highway Patrol reported the incident on Sept. 25th at approximately 4:47 a.m. The collision involved a vehicle that had reportedly landed on its side and was subsequently struck by a train. The vehicle was wedged into the front of the train on the tracks.

Emergency responders, including units from the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office and Double D Towing, were dispatched to the scene. The vehicle was already overturned when the train hit it, suggesting the possibility of two separate incidents. The exact circumstances leading up to the vehicle being on its side remain unclear.

The identities of those involved have not been disclosed. However, authorities confirmed that the incident resulted in significant injuries as one person was airlifted to a trauma center.

The investigation into the accident is ongoing, and authorities are urging any witnesses to come forward with information that could assist in determining the sequence of events leading to the collision.
