7 Injured in Multi-Vehicle Accident at 51st and Figueroa
LOS ANGELES, Calif. (August 17, 2023) — Three people were critically injured in a multi-vehicle crash involving a transit bus and two cars on West 51st Street in the Vermont Square area of Los Angeles.
The three-vehicle collision occurred around 6:43 p.m. on Wednesday, August 16th, at Figueroa Street, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The LAFD report stated a total of seven people suffered minor to major injuries in the crash. Paramedics responded and rushed three people with major injuries to a hospital. Four others were treated for injuries on scene and declined transport to a hospital.
It’s unknown what led up to the collision, but the Los Angeles Police Department’s South Traffic Division is heading up the investigation.
