 Trenton Blankenship Fatal 210 Freeway Pedestrian Accident in PasadenaPASADENA, Calif. (August 5, 2021) –  Trenton Blankenship, 59, died Sunday night in a Pasadena pedestrian accident on the 210 Freeway.

The pedestrian was struck by a vehicle as he walked along the eastbound Foothill (210) Freeway. The impact threw him onto nearby railroad tracks where an oncoming train struck him at the Lake Avenue Gold Line station .

The crash happened at 9:05 p.m. on Sunday, August 1st, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Sadly, the man was pronounced dead at the scene of the train accident.

The driver who struck the victim stopped and remained at the scene. Meanwhile, the collision led to the temporary closure of the carpool and Nos. 1 and 2 lanes due to the traffic accident investigation. Also, police issued a SigAlert on the 210 Freeway at 9:36 p.m. Later, the traffic lanes reopened about 11:20 p.m.

Metro the Gold Line trains would share a track between the Fillmore and Allen stations, but train service returned to normal operations by 11:15 p.m.
