San Bernardino Man Killed in Motorcycle Crash in Bonsall
SAN DIEGO COUNTY, Calif. (Oct. 22, 2019) — Trevis Sloan, 43, of San Bernardino, died Saturday in a motorcycle accident on Highway 76 in Bonsall.
The crash happened about 6:38 p.m. near Sweetgrass Lane. The San Bernardino man was riding a motorcycle was traveling westbound on State Route 76, just east of Sweetgrass Lane in Bonsall. Meanwhile, a driver in a Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck towing a horse trailer was heading westbound on Highway 76. The pickup truck attempted to make a left-hand turn in front of the Harley Davidson motorcycleand the two vehicles collided.
Paramedics responded and transported the injured San Bernardino man to Palomar Medical Center in Escondido. Unfortunately, he never made it inside the hospital and died in the ambulance by the time it got to the parking lot of the hospital.
Meanwhile the 24-year-old Hemet woman driving the pickup truck, as well as her two passengers, were not injured.
The victim was identified as Trevis Sloan by the San Diego Medical Examiner.
Police are investigating the crash and will assign fault.
