
Wrong-way Driver, 22, Killed, Innocent Motorist, 30, Hospitalized
MARIN, Calif. (April 24, 2023) — Trey King, 30, of Novato, was critically injured Saturday morning when his car was hit by a wrong-way driver on Highway 101 in Marin.
The two-vehicle crash occurred around 3:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 22nd, according to ABC 7 News.
A 22-year-old Santa Rosa man in a Nissan pickup truck was traveling northbound in the southbound lanes of Hwy 101. The pickup truck collided with a southbound BMW driven by Trey King. The suspected wrong-way driver died at the scene.
Meanwhile, paramedics transported Trey King to Marin General Hospital where he went into surgery for major injuries.
Authorities are investigating the collision and will determine if drugs and or alcohol were a factor in the wrong-way crash on Highway 101.
