Cameron Hunt Injured in Accident on Highway 299
TRINITY COUNTY (July 27, 2017)- According to the Record Searchlight, a deadly head-on collision left a man dead and another man injured Sunday, July 23, on Highway 299.
The report did not indicate a specific time of when the collision occurred but confirmed a motorcycle and an SUV had collided.
Man, 55, Dies in Motorcycle Crash in Trinity County
Per the article, the motorcyclist who has not been identified by name yet but as a 55-year-old man of Arcata, had been traveling eastbound on Highway 299 before allowing the bike to swerve into westbound lanes directly into the path of Cameron Hunt, 26, of Bayside, the driver of an SUV.
The collision sadly left the Arcata man with fatal injuries as he was ejected from his motorcycle and pronounced at the scene.
Meanwhile, Cameron Hunt sustained injuries assumed to have been moderate. It was not connotated whether or not Hunt was transported to a hospital.
California Highway Patrol officials are currently in the process of investigating this fatal accident.
