PERRIS: Hit-and-run Crash on Highway 74 at Sophie StreetPERRIS, California — The California Highway Patrol team reported an injury collision that took place on Highway 74 at Sophie Street evening of March 22.

As per the log, the accident happened between a black Mitsubishi and a truck. The roles of the mentioned vehicles were not clear but one from the involved caught fire following the impact.

At 8:39 p.m., CHP mentioned the blazed vehicle was still occupied by at least one person. It was not known if the trapped party managed to be extricated, or was hurt from the fire.

Officials first logged the accident as a major injury crash, and was changed at 9:26p.m. as a hit-and-run.

No immediate details were provided on the suspect and their vehicle.
