Truck Accident Highway 65, Near Lerdo Highway in Bakersfield

Major Injury Collision on Highway 65

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (Feb. 14, 2025) — A traffic accident involving a pickup truck and a semi-truck happened Friday on Highway 65, just north of Lerdo Highway in north Bakersfield.

Bakersfield CHP deputies responded around 8:54 a.m. to the Kern County collision, according to a Feb. 14th dispatch on the California Highway Patrol traffic page.

Upon arrival, police and firefighters located the pickup truck driver trapped in their vehicle with major injuries to the lower body.

Paramedics were on the scene to transport the person to a hospital, but there are no further details.

The California Highway Patrol is heading up the investigation.
