Walmart Truck Overturns in Traffic Accident
KERN COUNTY, Calif. (June 14, 2024) — A Walmart truck overturned and a car was crushed in an accident Friday on Highway 65, just south of Snow Queen Avenue in the Delano area of Kern County.
The two-vehicle collision occurred on the northbound SR-65 at around 9:40 a.m. on June 14th, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported the silver sedan had major traffic damage and its front-end was “crushed,” the report said. Meanwhile, the Walmart tractor trailer truck overturned onto its side during the collision. There was also considerable debris in traffic lanes.
Paramedics responded to help at least one person with major injuries following the collision. CHP officials stated the person may be airlifted to a hospital.
Investigators are working to determine fault for the truck accident on State Route Highway 65.
