Two Hurt in Truck Crash in Downtown L.A.
LOS ANGELES, Calif. (August 4, 2020) – Two people were injured Tuesday afternoon in a collision involving two big rig trucks on the Interstate 5 Freeway in downtown Los Angeles.
The collision was blocking southbound traffic on the I-5 Freeway for roughly four hours, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Crews worked to clean up spilled diesel fuel from the trucks after the 12:30 p.m. crash near the 110 Freeway interchange.
Firefighters responded and found freed one person who was trapped in the wreckage. They transported that person and a second person who was also hurt to a hospital for treatment of injuries described as not life-threatening.
The cause of the crash and liability are under investigation by the CHP.
