
Semi-Truck, Pickup Collide on State Route 126 in Piru
VENTURA COUNTY, Calif. (Jan. 30, 2025) — The drivers of a big rig truck and a pickup truck were involved in a T-bone crash on Highway 126 and North Main Street on Thursday in Piru, Ventura County.
The red truck and a white Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck collided in eastbound lanes around 7:56 a.m. on Jan. 30th, just east of Fillmore, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The big rig reportedly crashed into the driver’s side of the pickup truck at the intersection. The smaller truck was smoking and its airbags were deployed following the collision. The semi-truck also collided into a guardrail and became stuck underneath it.
The Ventura County Fire Department responded and located one person trapped in the wreckage.
Investigators are working to determine fault for the crash on Highway 126 in Piru.
