
Big Rig Truck Hits Motorcyclist on Freeway
LONG BEACH, Calif. (July 25, 2024) — A semi-truck and a motorcycle were involved in a crash on the southbound Interstate 405 Freeway Thursday afternoon in Long Beach.
It happened at around 12:28 p.m. on July 25th, just west of the northbound I-710 Freeway connector, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officials reported the “big rig hit a motorcyclist” and the “rider possibly trapped under big rig.” A few minutes later, the report stated the bike was under the truck.
The Long Beach Fire Department responded, but it appears the rider was up and walking and no serious injuries after the collision.
Police issued a SigAlert and investigators are working to determine fault for the motorcycle crash on the 405 Freeway in Long Beach.
