1 Killed in Tulare County Crash Near Highway 198 and Road 180
TULARE COUNTY, CA (November 4, 2022) – A car crash killed at least one person near Highway 198 and Road 180 in Tulare County.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the tragic accident took place late Friday night. Officers reported the wreck at about 10:55 p.m.
CHP said at least two vehicles collided for an unknown reason in Tulare County near Exeter. They crashed on the westbound Highway 198 near Road 180.
2 Cars Collide
The incident log described the cars as a gray Chevrolet pickup and a grey colored truck. One of them rolled over and then came to a stop on its side.
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene. They confirmed that one individual died as a result of the collision.
The name of the deceased party has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin. Meanwhile, officers forced the westbound lanes of Highway 198 to shut down near Road 180 following the wreck.
The cause of the fatal Tulare County crash is still under investigation.
