1 Injured in Turlock Crash on Southbound Highway 99 at Lander Avenue
TURLOCK, CA (September 17, 2021) – At least one was seriously injured after a car crash on Highway 99 and Lander Avenue in Turlock.
The California Highway Patrol said the accident took place early Friday. According to their dispatch, officers reported the wreck shortly before 1 a.m.
CHP determined that two vehicles collided in the city of Turlock. They crashed for an unknown reason on southbound Highway 99 at the Lander Avenue off-ramp.
2 Cars Collide
The incident log described the cars as a red Nissan and a white Toyota Prius. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene.
Medical personnel found one person who sustained major injuries as a result of the collision. They then took the wounded party to a hospital for treatment.
Officials did not disclose the name of the patient and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, CHP forced southbound Highway 99 to shut down at Lander for more than two hours following the wreck.
The cause of the Turlock crash is still under investigation.
