Pedestrian Killed in Turlock Crash Near 9th Street and Lander Avenue
TURLOCK, CA (November 17, 2021) – A crash killed a pedestrian near 9th Street and Lander Avenue in Turlock.
According to an article published by The Modesto Bee, the tragic accident took place on Wednesday afternoon. Officers reported the collision at around 5 p.m.
The Turlock Fire Department said a vehicle struck a female pedestrian for an unknown reason. The driver hit her near the intersection of 9th Street and Lander Avenue.

Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and found the woman lying on the ground. She sustained serious injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then rushed the victim to an area hospital, where she died. Her name has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, officials forced the area of 9th Street and Lander Avenue to shut down following the crash. The report did not mention if the motorist stopped or stayed at the site after the collision.
The cause of the Turlock pedestrian incident is still under investigation.
