Man Killed in Tustin Crash on Southbound 5 Freeway Thursday
TUSTIN, CA (November 19, 2020) – A car crash along the 5 Freeway killed at least one person in Tustin late Thursday night.
The California Highway Patrol received a call about the tragic accident at around 11:48 p.m. The wreck occurred just north of Tustin Ranch Road.
According to a report published by Watch Our City, a vehicle slammed into the back of a semi-truck. The two crashed on the southbound 5 Freeway.

Fire department officials along with the paramedics responded to the scene and then found a male individual down in the traffic lanes of the freeway. The man soon died.
Officers are determining if the victim became ejected or exited the car following the collision and ended up hit by passing vehicles.
Authorities also did not release the name of the deceased party pending notification of next of kin. Meanwhile, the CHP online dispatch indicated that two females were found in a white sedan involved.
Officers forced the southbound lanes of the 5 Freeway to shut down at Tustin Ranch Road. The cause of the fatal crash remains under investigation.
