1 Injured in Tustin Hit-and-Run Crash on Northbound 55 Freeway Near McFadden
TUSTIN, CA (August 19, 2021) – At least one was injured after a hit-and-run crash on the 55 Freeway in Tustin.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the accident occurred on Thursday evening. Officers reported the wreck shortly before 7 p.m.
CHP said four vehicles collided for an unknown reason in Tustin. They crashed on the northbound side of the 55 Freeway, just south of McFadden Avenue.
Multiple Vehicles Collide
The incident log described two of the cars involved as a silver Toyota Highlander and black Toyota sedan. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene.
Medical personnel found one victim left wounded as a result of the collision. They then treated the patient for the unspecified injuries they sustained in the wreck.
Officials did not release the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the driver of the Toyota sedan did not stop to help and fled the area.
Officers forced the northbound lanes of the 55 Freeway to shut down following the wreck. The Tustin hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
