2 Injured in Twain Crash on Highway 70 Near Hallsted Campground
PLUMAS COUNTY, CA (July 5, 2021) – At least two were hospitalized after a head-on crash on Highway 70 in the Twain area.
The California Highway Patrol dispatch team said the accident occurred on Monday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck shortly before 4 p.m.
CHP said a Dodge and a Jeep collided for an unknown reason in Twain. They crashed on Highway 70 near the Hallsted Campground.
2 Cars Collide Near Twain Store Road
The incident log added that the Dodge sustained front-end damage while the Jeep obtained left rear damage upon impact. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene.
Medical personnel then found two people who ended up hurt as a result of the collision. They took two patients to the Plumas District Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
Officials did not disclose the names of the wounded parties and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, CHP forced a stretch of Highway 70 near Twain Store Road to shut down following the wreck.
Authorities are still determining the cause of the crash.
