TWENTY-NINE PALMS, California (October 10, 2014) –  Agnes Lee Quitano, 19, of Twenty-Nine Palms was killed Thursday night in a pedestrian accident  while walking across Twenty-Nine Palms Highway (State Route 62), according to a dispatch by the California Highway Patrol.

The driver of a Toyota pickup truck was traveling westbound on Twenty-Nine Palms Highway when they struck Quitano just east of La Buena Tierra Avenue.
