Two Friends Killed in Solo Crash on I-80 Freeway, Longview Drive in Sacramento
Coroner Identifies Isaiah Guadalupe Gonzalez and Joaquin Adan Silva

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (June 13, 2025) — Isaiah Guadalupe Gonzalez, 19, and Joaquin Adan Silva, 20, were killed in a solo-vehicle crash early Sunday morning on the I-80 Freeway in North Sacramento.
The deadly collision occurred around 4:30 a.m. on Sunday, June 8th, at the Longview Drive off ramp, according to the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office. Both young men are from Sacramento.
Deadly Crash Under Investigation
Investigators from the California Highway Patrol who are working on the case believe an unsafe turning movement led to the collision. It’s unknown at this time which one was driving the vehicle or if a dangerous condition in the roadway may have contributed or caused the wreck.
Gofundme Raising Funds for Funeral Services
Meanwhile, the families of both young men have launched Gofundme campaigns to raise money for their funeral services. The family of Isaiah Guadalupe Gonzalez said on his fundraising page that he was a hard-working kid who had just graduated high school.
Also, the family of Joaquin Adan Silva described the young man as a loyal friend whose “spirit touched countless lives.”
“Our thoughts and prayers are with both families as they cope with such tremendous loss,” said Attorney James Johnson.
