Two Injured in Crash at Brown Road and Highway 1, Near Guadalupe

SANTA BARBARA COUNTY, Calif. (July 31, 2026) — Two people were injured Friday in a crash at Brown Road and Highway 1 in the Guadalupe area of Santa Barbara County.

One person was critically injured in the two-vehicle collision and another had minor injuries, according to the Santa Barbara County Fire Department.

The collision occurred around 8 a.m. on July 31st, prompting an emergency response from police and firefighters.

Upon arrival at the scene, firefighters extricated one person who was trapped in a vehicle, according to Fire Capt. Mike Gray.

The vehicles involved were both totaled in the collision and towed from the scene.

Finally, the cause of the accident remains under investigation by the California Highway Patrol.
