Two Injured in Fresno Crash at California Avenue and Brawley Avenue

FRESNO, Calif. (Jan. 7, 2026) — Two drivers were hospitalized Wednesday following a Fresno crash on West California Avenue at South Brawley Avenue that sent one vehicle into an orchard, authorities said.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash was reported at approximately 1:27 p.m. at the intersection of California and Brawley avenues. The collision involved at least two vehicles, including a black Nissan sedan and a black Honda pickup truck.

CHP logs indicate that one of the vehicles rolled over and traveled into a nearby orchard before coming to rest on its wheels. Several bystanders stopped to assist at the scene while emergency medical services were requested.

The incident was initially reported as a collision with possible serious injuries but was later downgraded to a traffic collision with minor injuries. Both drivers were transported to area hospitals for treatment, according to CHP.

Tow trucks were requested to remove the damaged vehicles, and Fresno County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to assist with traffic control. No additional injuries were reported.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
