LOS ANGELES, Calif. (Jan. 16, 2023) – Two people in their 20s died and a driver was arrested after a solo-vehicle crash on Woodman Avenue in the Mission Hills area of Los Angeles.
The driver with two passengers was heading northbound on Woodman Avenue. The car reportedly crossed over into opposing traffic and crashed a vehicle into a parked vehicle on the wrong side of the road, according to KTLA News.
The collision occurred on a rain-soaked road about 11:40 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 15th, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The collision occurred in the 10100 block of Woodman Avenue, police added.
Firefighters arrived at the scene first, followed by LAPD officers who got there just after midnight, authorities said.
Paramedics located a male passenger in the back seat who suffered major injuries and died at the scene, police said. Additionally, there was a badly-injured female passenger in the front seat who they transported to a hospital. Sadly, she later died at the hospital.
The report did not mention what injuries were suffered by the driver in the vehicle, only that the person was arrested on unknown charges.
