Driver Arrested on DUI Charges After Fatal Collision

SKY VALLEY, Calif. (March 28, 2025) – Two men ages 63 and 38 years old died Tuesday in a head-on crash in Sky Valley on Dillon Road.

A third person was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence, according to News Channel 3.

The crash was first reported just after 3:30 p.m. on Dillon Road near Lamel Drive in the Desert Hot Springs area, according to a report by the California Highway Patrol.

CHP officials reported the alleged DUI driver was behind the wheel of a Dodge Charger traveling westbound on Dillion Road. The motorist reportedly crossed over the double yellow lines and crashed head-on into a Chevrolet Corvette.

Both of the vehicles became fully engulfed in flames and two occupants in a Chevrolet Corvette died at the scene. The coroner’s office has not identified the two men, but they were ages 38 and 63 years old.

The Dodge driver was injured and taken to the hospital and was later arrested.

Police continue to investigate the crash.
