Two Killed in Head-On Crash on Wentworth Street in Shadow Hills

LOS ANGELES, Calif. (August 5, 2025) — Two people were killed Monday afternoon in a violent head-on crash on Wentworth Street in the Shadow Hills area of Los Angeles, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

The fatal collision occurred August 4th around 3:45 p.m. on Wentworth Street, just west of Wheatland Avenue. LAFD officials say both vehicles sustained significant damage, and one occupant was found deceased in each car. Their identities, age, and gender have not yet been released.
Emergency responders arrived to find both victims trapped in the wreckage. No other injuries were reported in the crash, and no additional vehicles were involved.
The cause of the collision remains under investigation. The LAPD Valley Traffic Division is handling the case, listed as Incident #3095, and the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s office will assist with identifying the victims.
Authorities have not yet stated whether speed, impairment, or road conditions were factors in the crash. Wentworth Street was temporarily closed in both directions during the investigation and cleanup.
