Two-Vehicle Collision Results in Fatalities and Injuries
FILLMORE, Calif. (Dec. 26, 2024) — Two people died in a head-on crash on Christmas Eve on State Route 126 near Fillmore.
Three others were injured in the crash at 2:20 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 24th, according to the California Highway Patrol traffic report.
Two vehicles collided on SR-126 near Fine Road when one of the motorists veered into the path of the other one, police said.
Five people were injured and only three survived the accident.
Meanwhile, both directions of state Route 126 were backed up for roughly a mile.
Tow trucks removed the two mangled cars from the roadway and investigators are working to determine fault for the fatal crash on state Route 126, just east of Fillmore.
