Vilius Peciukevicius, Darius Borvainas ID’d as Men Killed in Crash
PALM SPRINGS, California (September 8, 2014) – Two men were killed Saturday night when their car crashed into a palm tree on Racquet Club Road, according to a report by the Riverside County Sheriff Coroner.
Vilius Peciukevicius, 23, of Winnetka, was driving his silver 1999 Mercedes eastbound on Racquet Club Road at a high rate of speed when he crashed into a palm tree just east of N. Indian Canyon Drive, the Desert Sun reported. Peciukevicius and his passenger, Darius Borvainas, 38, of Los Angeles, both died at the scene of the crash about 10:40 p.m.
Borvainas was a married and a father of two children. A fund to help the family with funeral expenses has been set up in his name at www.InMemoryOfDariusBorvainas.org.
The Palm Springs Police Department are heading up an investigation into the fatal crash and will issue a report with their findings.
