Two-Vehicle Collision on I-10 Freeway, Date Palm Drive in Palm Springs

Pickup Truck, Prius Crash on Interstate 10

PALM SPRINGS, Calif. (Feb. 27, 2025) — A two-vehicle collision occurred Wednesday morning on the I-10 Freeway East, near Date Palm Drive involving a tan pickup truck and a white Toyota Prius.

The incident, which took place at approximately 8:49 AM on Feb. 26th, 2025, according to the California Highway Patrol.

A driver in a Dodge Ram pickup truck reportedly rear-ended a Toyota Prius due to unknown circumstances.

Paramedics responded and transported one person to the hospital with head trauma, the report said.

The Toyota Prius had major rear-end damage and a Dodge Ram pickup truck had front-end damage. Both were removed from the scene by tow trucks and will be inspected for evidence.

Investigators are working to determine fault for the crash.
