Minor-Injury Crash Blocks Lane on Marconi Avenue in Sacramento

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (July 7, 2026) — A two-vehicle collision caused minor injuries and temporarily blocked traffic in the Arden Arcade area on Tuesday morning on Marconi Avenue near Calderwood Lane, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The crash was reported on July 7th around 9:17 a.m. on eastbound Marconi Avenue just west of Calderwood Lane.

Initial dispatch reports indicated the collision involved a silver Audi and an older maroon sedan, with the damaged vehicles blocking the slow lane. One occupant of the maroon sedan reportedly remained inside the vehicle immediately after the crash.

Fire personnel responded to the scene, where the No. 2 eastbound lane was blocked while emergency crews assisted those involved and cleared the roadway.

CHP dispatch logs indicate one of the vehicles sustained front-end damage and required towing. Authorities requested two tow trucks to remove the damaged vehicles from the scene.

At 10:27 a.m., the CHP updated the incident from a traffic collision with emergency responders en route to a minor-injury crash.

The extent of the injuries was not immediately released, and the cause of the collision remains under investigation by the California Highway Patrol.
