Two-Vehicle Collision on State Route 145 and Avenue 7 in Madera County

MADERA COUNTY, Calif., (April 22, 2026) — A minor injury traffic collision occurred Tuesday evening involving a green Honda Civic and a white van at the intersection of State Route 145 and Avenue 7 in the Ripperdan area of Madera County.

The incident occurred at approximately 7:33 p.m. on April 21st in the southbound lanes of the highway known as Road 27, according to the California Highway Patrol. The collision resulted in major front-end damage to the Honda Civic.

One passenger from the Honda Civic was transported by a family member to Valley Children’s Hospital for treatment of lacerations to the forehead. The specific condition of the victim has not been detailed further.

Emergency units arrived at the scene by 8:03 p.m., and a tow truck was requested to clear the damaged vehicles from the roadway. The situation initially was classified as a collision with no injuries but was later updated to reflect minor injuries.
