Two-Vehicle Collision on Valley Center Road, Mac Tan Road

VALLEY CENTER, Calif., (April 8, 2026) — At least one person was injured in a traffic collision Tuesday afternoon at Valley Center Road and Mac Tan Road in Valley Center. The incident took place on April 7th at approximately 4:29 p.m. between the drivers of a red Chevrolet Trailblazer and a white two-door Jeep.

According to reports from the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the white Jeep also collided with a power pole. Utility company SDG&E confirmed that its pole was involved in the incident, which remained intact with no wires down.

Emergency responders were dispatched to the scene, and at least one person was transported to Palomar Hospital for treatment of their injuries. The precise nature and extent of the injuries sustained are still being assessed by medical personnel.

Authorities are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident. The CHP has requested that anyone who witnessed the collision or has relevant information to come forward to assist in their investigation.
