Two-Vehicle Crash 805 Freeway, El Cajon Boulevard in San Diego

SAN DIEGO, Calif., (September 17, 2026) — A minor injury traffic collision involving two vehicles occurred Thursday morning on the southbound Interstate 805 Freeway, north of El Cajon Boulevard in San Diego.

The incident was reported at approximately 6:00 a.m. on Sept. 17th and involved a silver Toyota Corolla and a white vehicle. According to the California Highway Patrol, the Toyota was rear-ended and spun around, facing the wrong way in the traffic lanes. Meanwhile, the white vehicle experienced significant front-end damage and was stopped near the center divider.

Emergency responders, including fire department personnel, arrived on the scene swiftly to assess the situation. Fortunately, the collision was classified as a minor injury incident, and no life-threatening injuries were reported. The identities of the individuals involved have not been disclosed.

Authorities are currently investigating the circumstances that led to the collision. They are urging any witnesses who were present at the time of the accident or anyone with relevant information to come forward and assist with the investigation.
