Two-Vehicle Crash on Highway 12, Guard Road in Lodi

Minor Injury Traffic Collision on State Route 12

LODI, Calif., (Sept. 16, 2026) — A traffic collision involving two vehicles resulted in minor injuries early Wednesday morning on Highway 12 near Guard Road in Lodi, just north of Stockton.

The incident occurred on Sept. 16th at approximately 4:19 a.m., involving a white BMW sedan and a red Honda van. Both vehicles were reportedly in the middle of the roadway following the collision, blocking the eastbound lanes.

Authorities changed the original report of the collision from unknown injuries to minor injuries at 4:51 a.m. The white BMW was moved to the right-hand shoulder, and a tow was requested for both the BMW and the Honda van, which sustained major front-end damage.

Emergency responders were dispatched to the scene, and paramedics assessed those involved. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) is conducting an investigation to determine the cause of the collision. They are asking witnesses to come forward with any information related to the incident.
