Two-Vehicle Crash on Highway 395, Near SR-120 East in Mono County

Driver Injured in Crash on U.S. 395 in Mono County
Mono County, Calif. (Oct. 24, 2025) — Emergency crews responded to a two-vehicle collision Friday afternoon on U.S. Highway 395 near State Route 120 East, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash was reported around 12:39 p.m. and involved a gray Nissan Altima and a silver BMW SUV. CHP logs indicate that the driver of the Nissan became trapped inside the vehicle and was initially unable to move due to a reported neck injury.
Fire personnel arrived on scene shortly after and worked to extricate the driver. Three additional passengers from the Nissan were evaluated at the scene, and all occupants were able to exit the vehicles safely.
Tow trucks from Lee Vining Towing were dispatched to remove the vehicles from the roadway.
Traffic along southbound U.S. 395 was temporarily slowed while emergency crews worked the scene, but all lanes were later reopened.
The California Highway Patrol’s Bridgeport office is investigating the cause of the crash.
