Minor-Injury Head-on Crash on State Route Highway 76 in Rincon
RINCON, Calif. (Oct. 11, 2021) — Two vehicles collided Monday morning in a crash on State Route Highway 76 in the Rincon area.
The collision happened about 7:21 a.m. on Oct. 11th, just east of the Lazy H Ranch, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The CHP reports a white Hyundai and a gray Hyundai collided head-on when one of the vehicles veered into the path of the other one. Both vehicles suffered major front-end damage in the crash.
Two people suffered minor injuries in the traffic accident. Paramedics with Cal Fire San Diego responded and transported them both to Palomar Medical Center for further treatment. The report does not disclose the nature of those injuries.
Meanwhile, tow trucks responded to remove both damaged vehicles and clean up debris from the roadway.
Investigators seek to determine the cause of the crash and liability.
