Minor Injury Collision at Bakersfield Intersection

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (June 18, 2026) — At least one person suffered minor injuries following a two-vehicle traffic collision Thursday morning at the intersection of Roberts Lane and Castaic Avenue in Bakersfield, according to dispatch logs.

The crash was reported on June 18th at approximately 10:03 a.m. Initial reports indicated a vehicle was blocking the intersection following the collision. Emergency responders were dispatched to the scene to assess the incident and assist those involved.

At 10:11 a.m., the California Highway Patrol updated the incident from a traffic collision response to a minor-injury crash, indicating that at least one person sustained injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening.

Tow trucks were requested to remove the damaged vehicles from the roadway. Castro Towing was initially dispatched but later advised authorities it was unable to provide an estimated arrival time. Payless Towing was subsequently contacted to assist with vehicle recovery.

The cause of the collision remains under investigation. No additional information regarding the injured party or parties was immediately available.

Motorists experienced temporary disruptions in the area while emergency crews worked to clear the intersection and restore normal traffic flow.
