Two-Vehicle Crash State Route 184, Standish Drive in Lamont

Pickup Truck, Car Involved in Crash Near Mountain View Middle School

LAMONT, Calif., (August 24, 2026) — The drivers of a white sedan and a gray pickup truck were involved in a crash Sunday afternoon on State Route 184 near Standish Drive in the Lamont area, just southeast of Bakersfield. The incident, reported on August 23rd at approximately 3:49 p.m., is currently under investigation by the California Highway Patrol (CHP).

Responding officers arrived at the scene shortly after 4:10 p.m., where they found one of the white sedan with major damage. It is unclear at this time the extent of injuries suffered by those involved; however, emergency medical personnel were dispatched to the site.

The collision resulted in a partial roadway blockage.

The California Highway Patrol is actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision. Authorities are urging any witnesses to step forward and provide information that may assist in the investigation.
