Motorcyclist Tyrece Alires, 21, Lancaster Crash at 35th Street East and Avenue S
PALMDALE (June 10, 2020) – A motorcyclist killed after an alleged DUI crash at the intersection of 35th Street East and Avenue S on Tuesday has been identified.
The Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office said 21-year-old Tyrece Rayshawn Alires, of Palmdale, died following the accident on June 9.
According to an article published by Antelope Valley Times, the incident began when Alires was riding a Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle west on Avenue S on a green traffic signal.
At the same time, a Chevrolet Malibu was headed south on 35th Street East. The car then allegedly ran a red traffic light at Avenue S and collided with the motorcycle rider.

Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel responded and pronounced Alires dead at the scene. The fatal wreck occurred at around 11:20 p.m.
A news release by Palmdale Sheriff’s Station determined that the male driver of the Chevrolet was under the influence of an alcoholic beverage when the collision occurred.
The preliminary blood alcohol content of the motorist reportedly tested over the legal limit. Officers ultimately arrested him for DUI resulting in bodily injury.
Authorities did not disclose the name of the suspect. The tragic incident remains under investigation.
