1 Injured in Ukiah Crash on North State Street Near Highway 101
UKIAH, CA (June 19, 2021) – At least one was injured after a head-on crash on North State Street in the city of Ukiah.
The California Highway Patrol first logged the incident on Friday night. Officers reported the wreck on June 18 shortly after 8 p.m.
According to their dispatch team, two vehicles collided for an unknown reason in Ukiah. They crashed 1729 North State Street near Highway 101.
2 Cars Collide Head-On
CHP described the cars involved as a a Hyundai Elantra and a Toyota Camry. One of the vehicles obtained major front-end damage upon impact.
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near Highway 101. They found one person who ended up hurt as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then provided treatment to the patient for the unspecified injuries they sustained in the wreck. Officials did not disclose the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, officers forced a portion of State Street to shut down following the collision. Authorities are still investigating the cause of the Ukiah car crash.
