The crash which occurred before 5:00 p.m. was triggered by a DUI driver named by the authorities as Jesse Bourdeaux, 28.
Bourdeaux lost control of his pickup truck and crossed over the double yellow line directly into the path of Fedje who was riding her 2016 Beta motorcycle at the time.
Fedje sadly did not survive the collision and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Per the Press-Democrat, Bourdeaux was arrested and faces multiple charges including gross vehicular manslaughter. He is being jailed at Mendocino County Jail.
