Minor Injuries Reported in 5-Vehicle Crash in Union City
UNION CITY, Calif. (July 18, 2024) — A multi-vehicle car accident happened Thursday afternoon on Interstate 880 in Union City, near Whipple Road Off ramp in Alameda County.
The traffic accident occurred at around 1:07 PM on Thursday July 18th 2024, according to the California Highway Patrol.
At least five vehicles, a silver Honda Accord, blue Subaru Outback, black Toyota RAV 4 and two other unknown vehicles were involved in a collision. Three out of the five vehicles were reported to be on the right side of the highway. A passenger in the Toyota RAV 4 had told officials that they have a headache but was refusing the assistance of an ambulance. In addition four vehicles were reported to have passengers with minor injuries.
Paramedics responded and located those with injuries and transported them to a nearby hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
Investigators are working to determine who is at fault for the crash accident on Interstate 880 in Union City California.
