Injury Crash in Union City, California
UNION CITY, Calif. (July 16, 2021) — A Union City car accident happened Friday morning on the Interstate 880 Freeway.
The two-vehicle collision took place about 11:28 a.m. on July 16th, at the Whipple Road off ramp, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A red Volkswagen Golf SUV and a grey Infinita Z8 collided in the Nos. 1 and 2 lanes of the northbound I-880, CHP police said.

Three people exited the two vehicles after the Union City car accident. One of them was bleeding from a head injury. Paramedics responded to treat the injured, but it’s unknown if anyone was taken to the hospital.
Meanwhile, the Volkswagen suffered major rear-end damage in the collision and the Infiniti had major front-end damage. Police did not report any arrests or citations, but they are still piecing together what happened.
Additionally, investigators with the CHP seek to determine fault for the Union City car accident.
