1 Injured in Collision Near Lankershim Boulevard
Universal City, CA (August 20, 2022) – At least one person suffered injuries following a car accident that occurred on 101 Freeway, the On Scene TV News reported.
Our sources indicated a woman was driving a vehicle heading north on the freeway. In the area just south of Lankershim Boulevard, the northbound vehicle crashed into a stalled car. The force from the impact caused one of the automobile to burst into flames.
Woman Hospitalized After Crash on 101 Freeway in Universal City
When rescue teams arrived at the location, they found the female driver trapped in the fiery wreckage. A security officer from Newton Patrol was traveling in the area and spotted the crash. The officer pulled out the woman, then rendered first aid to the victim.
Emergency crews rushed the injured party to the hospital for treatment of injuries, including pain to her upper torso.
At this time, detectives continue to investigate exactly how and why the car accident happened on 101 Freeway in Universal City.
