UPLAND, California (January 14, 2016) — At least one person was injured Thursday morning in a collision involving roughly six vehicles on the westbound Interstate 10 Freeway, just east of Mountain Avenue, a California Highway Patrol report said.
The crash was reported about 11:16 a.m. between a black Jeep Cherokee SUV, a burgundy Honda, black Toyota Yaris, white Ford Explorer, green Mercedes and other vehicles. The Jeep Cherokee was up on the right embankment of the freeway after the crash.
The Ontario Fire Department responded to help those who were injured in the crash and at least two of the vehicles required tow trucks. Police say the Nos. 3 and 4 lanes were blocked, but the HOV and Nos. 1 and 2 lanes were open to traffic.
Police are investigating the cause of the crash to determine liability.
