1 Seriously Injured in Upland Crash on Eastbound 10 Freeway Near Mountain Avenue
UPLAND, CA (August 22, 2021) – At least one was seriously injured after a car crash on the 10 Freeway in Upland.
The California Highway Patrol dispatch team said the wreck took place early Sunday. Officers reported the accident at about 2:23 a.m. near the city of Ontario.
According to CHP, three vehicles collided for an unknown reason in Upland. They crashed on the eastbound side of the 10 Freeway, just east of Mountain Avenue.
Multiple Vehicles Collide
The incident log described two cars involved as a white Toyota Sienna and a black Nissan Pathfinder. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene.
They found one person who ended up suffering from major injuries as a result of the collision. Medical personnel then took the patient to a hospital for treatment.
Officials did not disclose the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, CHP forced the eastbound lanes of the 10 Freeway to shut down following the wreck.
The cause of the Upland crash is still under investigation.
