1 Killed in Upland Crash on 210 Freeway Near Mountain Avenue
UPLAND, CA (December 11, 2022) – A crash killed at least one person on the Interstate 210 Freeway near Mountain Avenue in Upland.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the tragic accident took place on Sunday morning. Officers reported the wreck at about 5:24 a.m.
The incident happened when five cars collided for an unknown reason in the city of Upland. The vehicles crashed on the westbound 210 Freeway, just west of Mountain Avenue.
Multiple Cars Collide
CHP described two of the cars involved as a black Toyota RAV4 and a black sedan. The report added that a vehicle spun out of control and then slammed into a wall in the area.
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and confirmed that one individual died as a result of the collision.
The name of the deceased party has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin. Meanwhile, the cause of the fatal Upland crash is still under investigation.
Officers forced the westbound lanes of the 210 Freeway to shut down for a time near Mountain following the wreck.
