1 Killed, 1 Injured in Collision on Foothill Boulevard Sunday
Upland, CA (May 31, 2021) – One person died, and another suffered injuries following a car crash on Foothill Boulevard Sunday evening.
According to the Daily Bulletin, a black Acura swerved off the traffic lanes for an unknown reason. The car ended up slamming into a tree along the center median. Per article published online, the horrible crash took place in the 1600 block of West Foothill Boulevard at about 10 p.m.
Deadly Car Crash in Upland, May 30
Responding emergency crews responded to the accident scene–near the intersection with Benson Avenue. When paramedics arrived, they immediately rendered aid to the female driver found trapped in the wreckage. Despite life-saving measures, the woman succumbed to her injuries and died at the scene. The identity of the deceased remained undisclosed pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.
Authorities added a second person sustained serious injuries from the collision. Rescue teams reportedly used heavy machinery to extricate the victim out of the battered car. An ambulance then rushed the patient to a local hospital for treatment.
Additional details on the unfortunate event have not been discussed thus far. At the moment, investigators handling the case continue to work to determine the precise circumstances that led to the fatal car crash in Upland.
